Where two seas of different densities collide, taken off the Alaskan coast.

It still amazes me that this exists.

who took this

okay, first of all, this is not where two seas collide, this is just a very dark beach. second, it was taken in the southern coast of iceland, not alaska. check the source! http://www.flickr.com/photos/smari/750306571/in/photostream/the original picture of the merging oceans in alaska is this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kentsmith9/4955772693/ and it’s not really two oceans but the ocean and the melting water of a glacier. you can check out a nice explanation of the phenomenom here: http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/mythbusting-place-where-two-oceans-meet-gulf-alaska

Rap Quote Location Signage by Jay Shells

When Jay Shells heard various rappers name-checking some local streets in NYC, he decided those exotic city locales needed to be immortalized not just in song but in road signage: finding songs that specifically mention street names and posting an official-looking sign along the exact road with the lyric printed on it (with attribution for proper repurposing etiquette points), so everyone will know who was hustlin’ there.
